Question Crunchy window???

Just this morning, I went to roll down my driver side window and it kind of lurched and made a nice scraping/crunching noise... It went most of the way down. Then I tried to put it up--it went part way, stopped, started to go back down, then finally went back up. I'm not rolling down again! Is it the regulator going bad, or is it just going on/off its track? The window still does its drop and rise when I open the door, though it seems not as much as normal. What says the all-knowing 6speedonline 996tt forum

Thanks

Sounds like the regulator is going bad, the cable stretches and causes all kinds of scary noises...
