Help! Clutch pedal just went "hard"
... well, intermittent, but getting worse. 
This is on a 2004 X50 with a fairly new GT3RS clutch and LWFW, modded to about 540+hp at the crank. 25k miles.
Pedal is hard on start, and when running sometimes easier, but mostly screwed up/hard. My questions are:

- Is this the slave and/or accumulator/something else?
- How can I tell/diagnose better the specific problem?
- Did I cause the problem?
- Are there any guidelines for replacing these parts?
- What are the expected costs?
- Is this an opportunity to improve the parts?
