In one month the car has been to the dealer twice, once on a flatbed. Neither were serious, though I did pay $480 to replace a $40 hose. The front tires have worn unevenly (down the center) and even though there are 5/32nds remaining, I should replace them soon. No alignment issue, just improper inflation.

I seriously considered trading the car for an '05 997s today. I drove the 997 for about an hour to see if I would be satisfied by car. In the end, it would have been a decent substitute but it just didn't have that Je ne c'est qua of the turbo.

In the end, I love the turbo. I just needed to go through the process and make peace with my feelings. I have covered 2000 miles already and now know I couldn't be satisfied with anything else. That is why I searched for so long to find the perfect one in the first place!

Instead of trading for another car, I purchased an aftermarket warranty. My peace of mind alone is worth the purchase. Maybe I'll be able to let go of the fear and just enjoy the car as it was meant to be.

On a lighter, my only disappointment is that I haven't been hit on by any of the ladies. I have noticed some glances, but nothing like my buddy's claims of phone numbers being left under the wiper blade of his R8
Rims, exhaust and a body kit might help you!

It's interesting that you say you're stealthy in your turbo. Maybe it's a regional thing but I get too much attention as far as I'm concerned and I have a silver turbo to boot lol. We have a ton of BMWs, Boxters, Cedes and a smattering of Ferraris and Lambos but I still get a lot of the pace cars when I'm driving around in the turbo.
