Noob Z06 guy here asking 996tt questions
Whats up guys, been on the forum for a while, often partake in mexico runs with a lot of the p-car guys.
Long story short, thinking ahead and possibly entertaining the idea of maybe getting a 996tt in the future. I did a lot of searching but can't really find a simple answer.
I was curious how much it would cost to do a basic k24 upgrade with supporting mods on a 996tt? For a basic, reliable setup... and how much power youre roughly looking at?
Seems I can't find prices on kits, or installed/tune specials, etc.
So just curious if you guys could shed some light on it. I honestly have no idea how much it costs to upgrade the turbos, dv's, wg's, fueling, etc. and whatnot.
Thanks

what up richy. thanks man. your car is wicked. i want to go for a ride in it sometime soon. all is well, havent seen you out with us lately, we need to get a group together and have some runs!
some quick math
rough numbers
you can get better prices then this but to give you an idea
5k for a set of alpha turbos
2k for tune
1000-1500 in fuel system (no labor) but this is second fuel pump injectors etc the goods (k24/18g can be run on a 5bar fpr solely with stock injectors i believe but thats upto you)
2-3k in exhaust unless u go europipe or high end stuff
DV's 300-400$
silicone boost hoses 1000$(not needed but most due it anyway)
roughly 3-5k for intercooler from 2.5"-5"
this should get you in the 600whp range maybe 700 depends on tuning/fuel choice and what you picked up
those are new prices non package deal or discounts.
blow through MAF setup is 3k i believe
good clutches 1500-3600 tilton is 5k but u dont need that

i know but i was bored lurking the forums so i figured id just post up
My old K24/18g package was pretty basic.
K24/18g = about $4000 new with port, polish and ceramic coating
Protomotive wg = $400
5 bar = around $200
Fabspeed exhaust, 100 cell cats (used) $1500
Greddy ebc = off of the forum for $200
Carbonetics triple carbon clutch (ATS) slightly used $2500
Tune Protomotive = $3000
Total without labor around $11,800.
With all of this I was making low to mid 500 at the wheels on pump gas. I never did get a chance to use race gas but I was told I would be around 600 rwhp. It was a great set up and honestly, it was a lot of fun and brutally fast.
Hope this helps.

you can do it like this , but have to be patient .
buy a used exhaust , from the for sale section .
then a a pair of diverters they are cheap you use any of the vendors ,
i would look for a pair of used18g on here for salewith upgraded actuators, they are hard to find lately but be patient.
then choose your tune form the various tuners. epl , proto ,
buy a 5 bar FPR they are cheap also ,
a drop in filter ,
and a set of IC's although not needed but recomended . and your ready to roll , and for alot cheaper then thought. and you will be putting down down some power.
