The allure was too great and I took advantage of the EPL Flash special. Now I have to tell myself to wait. Unless the collective group here can talk me into jumping off the ledge sooner

I bought the car in January and have my first track event at Lime Rock Park the second week in September. So I know the right thing to do is take the car out on the track in stock form before adding the power. But damn its hard to resist. The good news is that Saturday I will be leaving on vacation for two weeks so I wouldn't be able to drive anyway.

I also jsut bought an exhaust which should be here when I get back as well. Aren't you supposed to look forward to the vacation as opposed to returning home from it?

Flash it asap. You'll regret not doing it sooner.

 

I'd flash it. The car gains more power but, in my opinion, the torque curve becomes more user friendly. There's less lag, so there's less chance of catching a surge of power where you possibly may not expect it.

I tracked mine when I bought it then added flash and several other mods, after tracking it with I realized a huge difference and wished I did everything before I tracked it, now I'm learning a whole new power band in the turns, was fun but spent the day at the track experimenting. Like Nike says "Just Do It!" and agree with Alex55 and the exhaust!

The power comes on much smoother and is easier to modulate with our flash vs. stock, I know it would benefit you to have it at Lime Rock.

Plus, you don't want to be pointing anyone by out there, do you?

I bought this ice cream last month, man I can't wait to try it. You just got a cable and the instructions on how to add 60whp to your car, it would be simply idiotic to plug it in and do it...I would definitely wait...

 

I loaded mine last Saturday and got my car in March. It is a wonderful change to the car. You will appreciate it. It only takes 5 minutes! Just do it!

 

Aww crap. I got into my car and the cable fell out of my laptop bag, accidentally plugged itself in and ran the flash. Oh well...

What a difference! I haven't even installed the exhaust yet and the driveability and power is terrific. Thanks to Robin at EPL for helping me out with the install and even calling me back in the after business hours. One tip to future customers is that the Flash Uploader like many other programs utilizing a COM port does not play nice with NetBooks. Use a regular laptop and its a painless process. I just came in to change my underwear and I'm gong back out to drive some more.... woo hoo.
