I suppose it was unfinished from the factory. Roof is not black. Look at the treatment.

- black Hood
- black front splitter
- black side intake
- black tires

Right...

Exactly why the black sunroof looks "unfinished".

Just basic design principles at work here.

In a way, but GT2 doesnt have sunroof, so the question is would they have gone cf if one would be available? I don't know...

luckily the GT2 has no sunroof, but it kind of illustrates why CF pieces (especially when they are not even real CF) are "rice". Maybe it's my JDM modding roots, but I was never a fan of the CF (usually glassfibre with CF veneer) hood.

Would you want a white car with a red sunroof.

Even if the red was "lighter" in weight?

Form vs function.

IMO the factory GT2RS looks a bit rice with the CF hood and side intakes. CF side intakes??? Why (beyond the existence of the R8) does one need that?

If it's truly re: saving weight and not increasing the appeal/distinction between regular and special GT2s, OEM CF wheels please!!!

Kthxbye
