Need Service center in Aliso Irvine Ca. area

Hello all it's been ages since I last posted. Well I just got transferred to the Irvine office and I need a reputable service center for my 996 Turbo 2001. There are a slew of plces here, but I would rather hear it from you guys who is fair and gives great service and care. Let me know please. If you have a name of the person that helps me also.

Thanks in advance,

Vision Motorsports in Laguna Hills, Dwain is very fair $ and takes the time to show and explain to you everything, he has many years of experience, and is very thorough. http://www.visionmotorsports.com/

BBI in Huntington Beach has experience with high HP cars, I'm very happy with the suspension work they did on my car.

If it's just general service I would go to Vision, if you have a specific project, larger turbo's, meth injection or possibly suspension work, give BBI a call.

I have not been to GMG personally, but they seem to have a great reputation on the forum.

It seems some shops may have different strengths, just my opinion, there are lot's of good options, which is always good. I'm surprised that Vision doesn't get mentioned more often.

BBi is a great shop. I've also heard great things about both Vision (Dwain) and Hergesheimer (Eric). You do have the Porsche dealer in Newport, as well as McKenna which is a little further north by the 605 and 5 freeway. Any of these would be good choices. Good luck.

Vision and Hergerheimer are great, But if you need to have it serviced at Newport Porsche .,... I would suggest Stan Reed an old POC guy. As he's the only one I trust with my -2

Do Not Use Vision Motorsports

No way will I ever set foot in that shop again. Duane, hey man your car is all ready, then you get there and the job is not complete. Or better yet, I have it on order and then calls you a couple of days later, hey man I am not sure which type of clip you need for your windscreen, really!!!!!! But it was on order right Duane???

If you use Chris in their paint shop, just save yourself the stress and put a bullet in your head immediately. I had my car back five times for fish eyes, swirl scratches and better yet scratches they put on your car while it’s there to be fixed. If I could give them less than a one rating, I would. Go to a dealership and save yourself a lot of grieve.

Never used them for paint work, but have been happy with the rest

of the work they have done. I know they are full service, but if I wanted paintwork, I would go to someone who specialized in paint. My guess is they probably do more paintwork on track prepped cars, which likely isn't scrutinized the same way.

Windscreens and paint ? What type of work did you have done there ? Seems more cosmetic ?

They did a good job on my clutch, and stood by their work. No issues.

Sorry about your experience. Every shop makes mistakes, one of the VERY popular shops on this forum did a corner balance and alignment on my car and didn't even tighten the shock tower mounts, they were completely loose. They took care of me, but hey, no one is perfect.
