Ignition switch

I'm having a hard time getting my key in and out of the car. I don't see how this is possible for this car but, I'm assuming I need to replace just the switch.

Anyone have the part number for this?

I had this problem recently. The ignition switch can be found on eBay for around $155 or so. The part number can be found by searching the forums. I don't mean to be a dick, but that's how I found the part number. It will get harder and harder to get the key out eventually and you might or might not get the message that the key is still in the ignition although it's been taken out. Took me about an hour and a half to install the part. You should use your stock tumblers to retain the use of your original key.

is this a pretty hard install? i've gotten the warning before about how my key was still in the car when it really wasn't. ive even had my lights go out before because it thought the key was out when it wasn't. i understand its not a big deal but i want to get this sorted.

was there a DIY you found? do i need to replace the whole assembly or just the small switch?

was it necessary to swap out the whole assembly when you did yours? also, what do you mean retain the tumblers? i'd rather be able to use the same key that i've had now.
