Question PSM Failure

Had a strange experience today. Some bastard pulled out up the road from me and proceeded to drive head on towards me on my side of the road as I was approaching at about 50 mph. I had a second to react and hauled right to avoid a collision with massive braking. This sent me into some gravel at the side of the road and then into a sub division entry where I got it stopped. Needless to say, ******** had made his way back across the double yellows and was off on his merry way. As soon as I pulled back out I got a PSM failure - drive to workshop error.

I was on my way home from work so hadn't been doing any hard driving immediately before this.

Any thoughts would be very welcome.

Thanks guys.

p.s. anyone got any good suggestions for using your driver's side rear view mirror for aiming handguns over your shoulder?

PSM uses the ABS system. The failure could due to dirt on the wheel speed sensor...

If the code stays even when you start driving again a code will be stored. You will be able to read it and see if the speed sensor is damaged. It is possible the wire was torn or the plug, etc.
