Question Is it worth switching my power seats for Sport Seats?

I can trade my full power seats and a couple hundred bucks for Sports seats. I love the way the sport seats look, and the backs are unfinished so I can have them painted Seal Grey!

A friend who owns a preformance shop has them and they are in brand new condition

What do you guys think?

I just ordered the sport seats on my Polar Silver 2004 tt with deviating-color seat inserts: side bolsters are Metropol Blue (along with rest of interior) and the parts you sit on and rest your back are Graphite Grey: amazing look.

Jeru,
do u have a bigger-than-average butt ?

excuse me of saying that :P...

i had sport seats painted silver on my sold C4S. they looked amazingly hot especially in sport car. but my butt & back are too big for the seats (need to lose some weight ). although the seats in my TT now don't look as nice as the sport seats, but they are a lot more comfortable IMO.

go try them first see if they fit u

I have no ***, so I dont think it should be a problem, I do however have "Miller Mussle" also known as a 1 pack, but I have started working out again so hopefully that will go away.

Jeru,

I have the sport seats on my TT. They not only look better, but they are more comfortable in the shoulders. I think the bottom part of the seat is actually the same as the regular seats and just the backrest is different. The only thing is, they won't be full electric like yours now, only the backrest is electric.

I think you better try before you buy.
I had them on my first Turbo and thought for sure I'd fit fine..
180 lbs, 6' tall, 33 waist---
My shoulders are too wide for them and the center of my back did not touch the seat back.
Also, on really long trips my legs went numb.

My present car has the std adjustable heated seats and I fit much better.

No denying, sport seats are COOLER!, but:

Caviet Emptor

Do not ASSUME you will fit.

Sean,
You are welcome to check out my sport seats if you have never sat in them. I will be in Coral Springs Tom. at a friends house who said he is 5 mins from you... I would imagine you have sat in Duane's car though, doesn't he have sport seats??
Well, as for my opinion of the sport seats, I think they are great. They are great seats, I think they provide much better support then the stock seats, and I find them more comfortable. Not to mention the eye candy (yellow stitching, seatbacks) looks AWESOME!!!
Regards,
Evan

Sport Seats

I have a set of Black fully electric, bottom & back Sport Seats that a customer took out of his new GT3, when he bought a pair of new GT3 seats from me. They are in my showroom and he has them for sale, stop by and try them.

My first TT has sports seats and I really wanted them in my current TT, but it did not work out with the car I found. I would love to upgrade to sports seats but I have the natural gray interior with heated seats, and trying to find a pair with those specs have proven to be a near impossibility!

I find that the sport seats just plain look better and for me (6' 2.5" and 200lbs+) they fit me fine.

Jeru, if you don't go for them and they are graphite grey I'd love the opportunity to purchase them.

I had them in my last C2 and was going to order them in my turbo. My turbo came off the showroom floor and it did not have them.

I loved my sport seats and they do provide "a little" more support. Even though I was going to order them again I will say that I have found that on longer rides the standard seats are more comfortable. I can't poinpoint why. With the old sport seats after a hour or so in the car I was squirming around in the seat to get comfortable.. I just drove almost 4 hours today never even squirmed once... If you never sat in them you should if possible. They feel good unless you have a big caboose or really broad shoulders..

The memory feature in the standard seats has grown on me also... When ever I leave the car for service or mods I always put the seat back so they have easy access. Then I just lock the car and open it with my key and it is back where I had it...

Okay guys I know... This is a sports car not a luxury cruiser...
