Dario,

The best one available is the Tilton. Available from S Car Go. Three small carbon ceramic discs about 6" in diameter. Expensive, about 4K parts only. The next best in my opinion is one The Racers Group sells. It is about $1,400. dollars. It worked well at over 700 hp for me. Contact Ryan at The Racers group.

Both these set ups shed alot of weight. The S Car Go clutch will take 10,000 rpm's and is extremely light. The Racers Group set up still sheds about 60 pounds from the stock unit and is extremely durable.

Dario,
As an autocrosser I'm always concerned about my launches and the effect on the clutch. How many miles is on your car and what kind of use/racing has it seen?
Thanks

I will throw my hat in here as well. We have a custom disc made for us with a modified GTII pressure plate and a L/W FW. Keeps the jitters away under load and well hold some pretty stupid power. This is not one of the other kits you see, rather something we used from the G50s and built for the 996TT. Lots of similar things here.

bbeasley - my car is an 02 with 37k miles, I know how to drive and rev match properly however, I've loaned my car out to people who probably don't, so don't know if it's just natural wear and tear or other...

PorschPHd - how much is your clutch setup and are you familiar with the SCargo setup to compare?

CJV - thanx

based on what Ryan at S-car-go and what others recommend plus availability I will have my service rep order Monday ... anyone know how much labor should be on the install ...

Thanx

Dario,

My first clutch was installed by The Racers Group about two years ago. Labor and material was $2,000. I believe the Tipton three disc carbon ceramic is the same clutch used on the C-GT. They need your flywheel for machine work. The cost parts and labor is about $5,000.

Is this what you have now? Is it stiff like many of the magazines are moaning about the CGT's?
