i wish more ads were as credible as this guy's ad.

sick of the dealer ads that have no clue about the car.

That's my car

I paid $99K for the car, so I'm not thrilled about losing almost $1300 a month in depreciation for the 23 months that I've owned the car. Unfortunately, that's the market, and I'm happy to have owned the car with no regrets.

It would be acceptable if it sold at $69,500, but I'm hoping for a last minute run up to $71K - $72K. Actually, I'm just hoping for a paying bidder at this point.

Loosing $1300 a mos for 23 mos ? That's nothing man - that's a lease payment.

If you leased it for 2 years and turned it in you would have zero equity anyway? So whats the big deal here ?

Hopefully that someone is me! I am currently the high bidder. Rest assured that if I win the car it will be taken care of.

Nice to see someone with an honest ad & realistic price on eBay. Good luck with the sale trojanman.

It almost makes up for frauds like this:

Nice car and very nice ad I am sure you are sad too see it go but your reasoning is very good.

PS Darren remember that if he had kept his $ in the bank and leased for 2 years it does not matter what equity he has now he would have had that "equity" cash in the bank so its really a 6 of one 1/2 dozen of the other game. Ususally on the buy/finance you make out better but you dont have your cash, then again if you buy you have no payment. I have done it both ways and it can go either way. If you keep a car for the lease term it is not bad to lease if you change cars often then it is not a great idea as you get hurt bad getting out of leases.

I financed this car instead of leasing. Since I never keep my cars through the entire lease term, I ALWAYS get burned. I was $10K upside down on my last 2 leases!! Granted, I only had the cars 24 months out of a 48 month term, but c'mon!!

This way, my payment was higher, but at least I don't have to cough up $15K to get out of the car.

My parents are $20K upside down on their S600 that they're trying to get rid of.

If I had to do a lease again, I would only pick a term that I knew I could live with - 24 or 30 months. Maybe 36...but that would be tough.
