997 GT2 seats in a 996tt?
I bought some carbon/alcantara GT2 seats while I was in Germany, these are the one that can tilted forward. The seat belt connector on the bottom is much different that the 996 turbo anyone else install these seats in a 996???
Any help appreciated.

Chris, I installed mine with the original factory seat belt pieces like we did with the 996GT3 seats. Then I connected the power wires via connectors I purchased and tapped into the cars cable. That was for the motorized recliner. Yours should be similar to mine.

I installed the GMG RSR roll bar and installed the 997GT2 seats, the roll bar is very well built and fairly easy to install but can be a work out to get it aligned. I used a door **** hole cutter to drill a hole in the rear carpet piece which worked out very nicely (pics to follow later today).
Now the Seats, the seats fit perfectly but here is the deal, the seat belt connectors are completely different from 996 to 997, swapping the 996 belt receptacle would make sense but the 997GT2 belt receptacle is about 4 inches longer and to be fed through the seat hole. I thought about splicing, but not sure of there is a resistance change between the models (will get my ohm meter out and check later today). As a short term fix, I removed the seat belt from the old seats and connected that to the connector and zip tied it under the seat. I get a seat belt warning that you can "ok" through but still have the light.
The seats are ultra comfortable and firm, they dont dig into your g t like the 996GT3 seats.
I'll read Nola911's link after posting this.
