help with power loss

I would appreciate any feedback from members.

I have a tuned '04 TT that had 700 rwhp. I recently installed a europipe stage II loud. The sound is phenomenal, however the car was re dynoed only to find a 50 hp drop in hp! Also, the "check engine" light came on. Any ideas? Sensor? Retune? Thank you.

If you had a pre install dyno as well then its obviously something you guys did... what diameter piping was the previous exhaust? who did the tuning?
which exact Europipe is it? what cell count is it? what cel count was the previous exhaust? did the same tuner program the car before and after the install? ruin the codes check what exactly came up....
You have to get a little more specific in order to help you... I don't think anyone here can read your mind...

How does the car feel? slower?

Europipe is not know for power or weight savings. Sound, maybe, but not for high power.

Thanks Marksky.
I will get that information to facilitate an understanding of the situation. I have not driven the car. Its purely dyno numbers (same dyno). Same tuner, who changed the turbos and ECU etc., installed the europipe. I will ask for particulars. Previous exhaust was stock. Thanks again.

You had a tuned 04 TT with a STOCK exhaust with 700 WHEEL HP? ANy dyno sheets?

By "Tuner" are you referring to the person installing parts, or the actual person doing the ECU coding?

I'm with Mark and A....something is amiss...don't see how you got to 700 with stock (restrictive) exhaust. Perhaps your other dyno was incorrect? EP does allow for more power as it is less restrictive (if it is a stage II then it is 100 cell)...regardless of previous poster. Your tune may need to be adjusted for the freer flowing exhaust. Never had a code with my EP.

On second thought just send me the exhaust...lol

I think Justin Nenni was making close to 700 with a modified stock exhaust.

But I don't see how an EP exhaust would cause a loss of 50whp...
