Just got my hands on an 03 996 TT
I wanted to introduce myself, as this is my first post.
I am from Colorado and my father and I are both total car nuts. He has been a Porsche guy since long before I was born, and I recently bought his 2003 996TT from him. I'm currently selling my 1991 NSX to help pay for it.
I have driven the car a lot in the past, but I'm very excited to call it my own.
I am curious what you guys recommend for a basic power upgrade? I have looked at Evolution Motorsports packages and have talked to a local tuner. Any suggestions would be appreciated. I'm looking for something that will retain the driveability, and easily pass emissions. (No aftermarket cats) an extra 100HP sounds really nice.

Welcome...
and good choice of color ;-)
FYI I have a few mods which might be appropriate for your plans - see my signature. Despite having 100 cell cats it passes CA smog no problem at all.

Congrats and wellcome...it's good idea to start with only 100 HP mod......
don't worry a month after you get the 100 HPextra you'll be looking for
300HP extra more and so and so and so....until you get 350 WHP more

How much power can the stock clutch handle? Is the clutch usually the first thing to go when stepping up to bigger turbos?
How much can the stock intercoolers deal with? I assume that keeping the stock turbos, the stock intercoolers is probably reasonable.

Congrats and welcome! Like the color.
I'd start with the basic mods first which should put a nice grin on you face. Exhaust, tune and filter I guess. Get rid of the factory diverter valves and replace them. If you want even a Bigger Grin pick up the k24's in the for sale section and send them out for the 18g conversion! :-)
After that work on suspension and braking. More power equals the need for the car to handle and brake better.
Good luck and keep us posted.

The NSX is an all original, totally unmodified 1991 with a 5 speed manual. It has 48,000 miles on it.
I'm currently selling it for $29,000 with no luck. A lot of people will pay good money for a nice NSX, but I haven't found one of those people yet, lol.

Keep it!
I owned a NSX for 10 years and drove her hard. She never once gave me any problems, one of the best pure sports car. Of all the cars I have owned and sold over the years, the NSX is one that I should have kept. Yours sounds to be a collectors example which is why you should keep it.

Welcome and congratulations!
I'd like to hear some comparisons with the NSX if you get some time. That has been one of my favorite cars (that I've never owned) since 1991, and I still think about getting one in the future since it's such a drivers car.
