Tiptonic questions
Hi guys
I have a 05 tt tiptronic. I natice it automatically defaults to 2nd gear on startup. Is this normal? I ask because sometimes when I'm crawling in traffic on 2nd and brake my revs drop to 500 and the car even stalls at times. Is this because of it being in 2nd gear? Or is there some other issues I should be aware of?
Thanks

The tranny will always default to second gear in "automatic mode". So that is normal.
Stalling is not common if you have stock exhaust and turbos.

Tiptronic questions
I have stock x50 turbos and aftermarket exhaust. Does this mean stalling will be more common and why is this so?

I found that with less back pressure from the aftermarket exhaust, the car is more likely to stall at low speeds. So, this is normal. Mine would stall with straight pipes frequently.
