How did you get it home?
I'm weighing the pros and cons of driving it myself if it's <1k miles vs. just shipping the thing.
I saw lots of other forums posts about keeping the current person's license plate and shipping them the plates when they ship you the title or even just using your current cars plates (seems risky).
Figured I would throw up a poll to see what you guys did.
As a note, I'm deathly scared of using shippers because most places don't own their own trucks and just sub contract the work bla bla bla.

Purchaes my 2 turbos from out of state, FLA. and TX. Good times driving them home. I love a good road trip and with two little ones can't seem to find the time. So I would drive it if I was you.
I'd prefer to drive it, but I feel like my chances of getting a speeding ticket are high with a new toy.
So I feel your pain.

I've driven more cars home than shipped them. Have dealer give you a 10 day,20 day etc ...temp plate. Then have your insurance company fax you an Ins card, boom, legal, enjoy your ride home...
Mine came from CO. and had the 60 day temp tag as well.
I drove 900 miles with no plates, but had all the paper work that i just purchased the car with me. Asked the owner if we could leave the plates on until i get home and ill ship them back but he didnt like the idea, cuase he needed to return them back to the dmv to get back his registration fees.
Driven three cars home on road trips (Buffalo NY to Mississippi, Minnesota to NJ, Boise ID to Dover DE) and trailered the last one home as it was a bit closer. Having a trailer is very nice especially with track events. You never know what will happen...
I can't think of a better way to get to know a car than on a road trip unless you are very concerned about mileage. As for plates Minnesota has the plates go with the car, from Idaho I had temp tags acquired by the PO, and the New York car I used the PO plates and sent them back.
