Anyone here know the origin of this "GT2".

Reason I put "" around GT2 in headline is I question the authenticy... rear lid looks like glassfiber to me (look into the air ducts). Interior looks haphazardly put together, random mix of silver and cf parts. Who would ever treat a GT2 like this? Plus "shown by appointment only"... Anyone run a Carfax and get back a GT2 record for it?

OK. So per your inquiry and through my business, I have contacted the owner of R Motorsports and he has confirmed it is a real GT2. Would you like to contact him directly? I already have his permission to give you his personal cell# for you to get a hold of him.
I can not guarantee the quality or authenticity of the car other than the representation he has made to me. I can tell you through my dealings with the owner he is a stand up guy and always stands behind his word.

Thanks for the openness George. Re-read and you'll find I'm not questioning the owner/seller, I'm asking if anyone knows of the origin of the car - car doesn't exactly look pampered which is unusual for a GT2 - and again, I don't believe this is the dealer's fault unless he was the owner.
I am respectful of the fact that even a great standup guy might not be 100% on the ball with every single detail of every exotic car that comes around, and I consider this normal - we are extremely and unusually detail informed here about our Pcars - on my side with the little I know about these cars, is as much as that a glassfiber decklid doesn't normally belong on a GT2. However pics from an ad can "lie" a little bit, quality/resolution/lighting, which is why I asked if anyone has actually been to see it and can share some, so I don't need to waste my time.
Again I'm not out to point fingers and I'm not asking about the dealer/owner/seller (then I would have asked about them/him), what I really want to know is about the car. It's nothing personal at all, by default I just never listen too much to the guy who's trying to get the best price out of a car he's selling. Thanks again and cheers

Nad the Volk time attacks. I know you know your stuff Mr White, but tread carefully. It's not impossible to get a great deal. But it ususally is from a dealer.
Volk time attacks? Those are stock weels.
Any news about your car? i assume it's long gone...

There has been one circulating in the LA area that has known front end damage. I haven't run the car fax on this one so can't say it's the same one, but mileage was higher/similar, same silver on black color combo, priced high 50's to low 60's for over a year now. I'm not saying small collision is a big deal, for some it's a deal breaker, but definitely research the car.
