Take out the cable from the battery first of all and you will be fine. I think that you may find around here some DIY

There are two large bolts under the forward plastic trim (take the plastic trim off first) and one small Phillips screw. You have to pull out the little air bag label and remove the little bolt behind it. There is a small plastic screw inside the storage cubby. Remove the plastic trim behind the side mirror. Then work your way around the edge to pop all the little clips out. Lift up to take the panel off. You'll have to disconnect a few wires while you are at it. Your rattle is probably the screws holding the speaker enclosure in place. Put a little 1/2 inch square of dynamat on the screws after they are tightened - that should stop them from coming loose again. The second time you do this it will take you about 3 minutes.

my rattle wasnt screws, i'm pretty sure it was a cable rattling against the metal of the door, i added some dynamat and taped all cables more securely and the rattle went away

getting rid of rattles is possibly one of the most satisfying things in the world

Hey Escort - happy to meet up, but I think it's going to be a long ride for one of us - I'm in Canada!
