I have seen both figures for the 2005 911 Turbo S (both coupe and cab).

Wikipedia has it listed as 489 hp, just about everywhere else has it listed as 444 hp.

There is some discussion about this on this thread:

https://www.6speedonline.com/forums/...-needed-2.html

Some think that they bumped up the horsepower on the 05's because the 997 was coming out the next year and they wanted to provide incentive to push 05 sales.

444.
The 04 and 05 GT2's had a higher hp # (483hp) but that is the highest K24 factory hp #.

has anyone done dyno to find out? i might have to do it since i was told by some EXPERTS that it's 489. the manual says 444 but been told that's incorrect info- that indeed it's 489.
i know my car is faster than any x50 car that's not modded as i've had the same results on and off the track and it's always the same how would this be possible if it's the exact
same as X50 package? Trust me it's a different mapping on the TRUE S cars.

It's not far fetched to think that maybe Porsche put the GT2 timing and boost maps in the TurboS. Of course that all moot bacuse you will see that much less increase when you flash it.

How much boost do you see in the guage?

If anyone has a stock X50 car let me know and I'll dyno it at no charge.

Stock for stock hands down the TURBO S is faster than the X50- both off the line and 50-100. Like i posted earlier and has been said by others i've
been on the street and track with positive results against stock x50 cars.
My question remains has anyone done dyno # on the TURBO S?
