Haha, I've done this very thing! I am a CCW holder and almost always have a Glock in my door... consequently, no kids are ever allowed in my car to park/move it! This has worked many a times!

Took my mother to a really nice restaurant on mother's day and gave my (at the time) 996 c4s to the valet. He got it, a stalled it BAD! The huge car shake and horrible noises. I turned around and started walking back towards my car. He restarted it, and stalled it AGAIN! I opened the door and told him "You're out! Ill park the thing."

Ok, took every ones advise and left the turbo home. Good thing too as the $30 plus tip up front parking was already filled up. Of course, I was dreaming of my car when we pulled up and a beautiful triple black 997tt cab was parked up front. When we left, there was another triple black but only c2s upfront.

My wife made jokes to the other couple about my fear to valet park my Turbo and how someone like me shouldnt own a this car if I'm afraid to drive it. Just then, the valet TOOK OFF in an S2000 and she looked at me and said I dont want to hear it, its only an S2000 and you dont drive that either!

I guess my next sports car should be old and dented so I can enjoy it.

Glad to hear you made it through the night with no issues related to your car. Sounds like your wife is just about as sensitive as mine when it comes to cars.

I've always wanted to drive my Turbo to the clubs/restaurants out in Hollywood, but this thread made me see the light...Turbo will stay at home. You figure being an ex-valet parking attendant I would know better.

Thanks to Steve for saying to leave the car at home, enjoy dinner, and NOT worry about the car.

9 times out of 10 the valet spots are with the gen-pop. Rarely do they have a special lot.
