Incidentally, does anyone have a pic of the older 18G or 20G wheels to compare? Again, I'm not totally clear on what I'm looking at... And the rusty old search button didn't turn up any results.

 

I did some searching myself about the 18G XT or 20G XT, and turned up basically nothing except wisperings of their existance.

I'm quite interested in how the 18G XT spools compared to the 18G standard version.

And your car is going to be nuts. Very excited for you.

 

My family was over for Mother's Day today and while I was showing my brother the parts I've acquired, I decided to assemble what I could right there on the rec-room floor. Here's what my setup looks like, less an engine.











And I added my GMG adjustable toe-links to the pile as well...

They sure are the Blouch 20g Billets... I've got pics on the previous page. I'm psyched to finally get them bolted up!

And I did decide on some H&R springs... Just didn't see a point in going coilovers as I don't ever plan on tracking the car, and have seen a handful of H&R Sport lowered p-cars and I LOVE the stance!

Ahhh... that is my girlfriend in the background (along with my brother's legs, and my cat's evil glowing eyes - now that I examine the pic) haha... No wife for this guy yet! Although, I intend to change that here soon.

And she knew what it was anyways... her dad was and still is a huge car guy (Buick nut actually) so she's been coming up around this stuff for the last 25 years!

A very nice collection of parts. Well thought out. The toe links are a great add, if you put the solid pucks in the lower control arms the sway you get under acceleration will almost be non existent.

 

Tim, sorry, but I'm not sure what the puck you're talking about.

What solid pucks do you speak of? Did a quick search and didn't turn up anything obvious...

 

I think he means solid bushes like the ones that tarett or RSS sell.

 

That's right. I went with the RSS parts but I think Mike at AWD motorsports has something to look at too. Those parts remove about a 1/4 inch of travel that the rubber bushing allows. That 1/4 inch changes the toe under acceleration and hard braking.

 

i think Tim was speaking of thrust arm bushings and mono ball a arm kit.
