Do they make a big difference in every-day driving (comfort) or is it not something that's very noticeable?

Progress... Hope... Change... (hope 'n change - HA!)

Hi fellas,

I figure it was about time to update my thread a little... Things have been progressing along slowly but surely over here. I think the engine is finally about ready to go back together. My guy has about finished all the machine work and I think I have just about all of my parts (waiting on the last few big things from Protomotive).

Speaking of parts, I've changed my path a little since this whole thing started. Hell, I've changed my path several times... but this last go-around was a little more significant. I decided to go blow-through with a Protomotive tune. I'm actually picking up the blow through system (from Todd, but through my local shop IMA Motorsport), doing the Proto 5" intercoolers, BBI/IPD Y-pipe, IPD plenum, and the proto 'add-a-pump' fuel system. I think I've said it before, I need to hurry up and get this damn thing back on the road before I go broke modifying it!!!

This also means that I've got some BRAND NEW parts to sell that I will not be using now! 997.2 Intercoolers, USP Turbo Hard Piping kit, Samco Hose Kit w/ Forge diverter valves (the Samco hose kit might already be spoken for), and perhaps a 5 bar FPR... I need to check and see if the Proto tune uses this. I'll put a proper for sale thread up on the market place later today.

Here are some random pics of the new goodies and the shops progress:

Here's the crank in the machine shop getting all cleaned up

Here's the crank on the mill for the 'center drill' process

Here's one of the block halves after getting the windage mod

Ported head shot

Another head shot

Proto's newest intercoolers

My freshly powder coated Y-pipe at BBI/IPD

The big plenum

And I think that's about it for now... Will get some pics of the short block as or after it goes together.

Tap Tap... this thing on?

The engine is running...

I've been MIA for the last few months. I will update the thread here very soon with pics from all along the way, any more build changes, and my take on our countries current economic status.

PS, all my never-used flip-flop parts went to a local 6speeder... I'm sorry if you inquired and I never got back to you; work has been killing me.

Happy Fall...
