Is anyone else ordering a 997 Turbo? I just placed a deposit with Brooks Frybarger at Porsche North Scottsdale. After looking at several different cars I find myself coming back to Porsche. I can't wait to option it out.

I'm number 2 ,in writing, at my dealer, no deposit was asked for . Basically first customer shipment since factory spec'd launch cars could always come first .

Are the first few months of production on the 996tt riddled with problems? Just curious what you think the issues will be that they will change in a few months of production.

To Fine Property

I drive an early 01 that I bought with 8,000miles ( I now have 31,000 ) with a Porsche Pre-owned Warranty. I do not think there were many issues, 01's had a bunch of recalls (nothing major). Alot of people like the 01 the best because it supposed to be a little lighter. Mine as been great.

ALSO have a 2001 early and zero major issues. little stuff here and there but nothing that kept it off the road. hopefully this will remain true for the 997tt

I'll wait until 2009 to get a 2007 model. Given the recent trend, prices should have dropped 50% by then

I'm wondering when the 997TT will be announced and where. Might just bite the bullet and get one instead of a used 996TT.
