is $82k a good deal for my TT ?

My TT has 13,500 miles on it and is leased with chase. I took this car over from a fellow board member about a year or so ago who wanted out at 3,000 miles becuase he never used the car and wife said to get rid oof it.

The orig. buyout ont he lease agreemnet is $102k due on August 1,2005. The warranty is up i guess sometime in 2006.

Now chase calls me today and asks me if I want to end the lease and buy the car at $82k right now. I found it odd becuase they did not know if i had 2,000 miles on it or 42,000 miles or even if the car had been hit or not. There is certaintly no better car on the road for $82k and this bad boy did have a list of $149k.

I am not sure what to do as of this second. Any thoughts or opinions guys ?

if u want it they'll then get into details. a signed odometer disclosure statement is required when u send the $ in.

never take a first offer...

That is a great price if you're keeping the car. Buying one comparable at that price would be hard.

Darren,
I think 82k is a great deal for an 02 x50 with low mileage. I've been looking around with a friend of mine, we can not find clean 02's never mind an x50 for that price FWIW.

tell em the cream puff only has 45k miles on it since it spent so much time in the shop after the frame bending accident that caused the total repaint and see what they offer

ps. remember you'll get to pay sales tax on the entire $82k when you buy.

Sounds like a great deal to me. I just picked up a 02 without x50 for 5k more than that price. I did get the cpo warranty, but the extra HP would have been nice!

thnx for the advice guys - I will see what i can squeez a little more out of them then most likely write a check for it. If i am not happy after 6 more mos I can't get too hurt selling it.

It is not like I cn get that 430 anytime soon and this could be perfect timing for the next 997 TT coming

Yeah that seems like a competitive deal. Just last month I bought my '02 X50 with ~20K miles for 88K.
