Crazy story

I went to Roosevelt Field mall yesterday, I was only in the mall for like 20 minutes, I come out my car didn't have any noticeable damage, I drive home later that night I go out, had a spirited drive on the BQE, when I hit the ***** B bridge I notice the car starts to violently shake, I figure ****, I got a flat, pull over on beautiful Delancy and Allen st, get out and none of the tires are low on air, I'm like what the heck is going on, look at the driver side rear lug nuts and notice my wheel lock is gone, get the lug thingy out and ALL the lugs on all four of my rims where loose and the wheel lock that I hide in the trunk was missing, the only thing that I can think of is, that some punk got into my trunk and was in the process of stealing my rims and either myself or someone else spooked them and they took off, I can't imagine what would've happened if one of my rims would have flew of while driving a little fast on the BQE, that would not have been a nice site. I am getting two sets of wheel locks for each wheel and will do a better job of hiding my locks.
Does anyone know of a really good alarm system that can help keep my headlight, wheels and of course my car from being stolen, I also need to know a good place in the tri-state area that can do the install.
Watch it out there people, lots of *******s looking to take our hard earned stuff.

And imagine if they did take the wheels and left the car sitting on the rotors. Ugh.

I parked outside in front of that big sporting good store, in the wide open and even parked away From all the cars, when I came out there was a van parked right next to my car, it seemed a little odd, that is why I gave my car a once over, looking back the scum bags where probably hiding in the van watching me, crazy stuff.
I agree, DEATH TO THIEVES!!!

You might want to call the cops and make a report on that van. Not that they will do anything...but at least you will be doing all that you can.

When and where did you have your car anyplace in for any work to be done? I'd check those places out to see if they have had any shady dealings going on. The only way for the locknut key to be removed without setting the alarm off on a the car is for someone who was working on your car stole it out of your trunk.
Also might want to look for that van at those places too.

That sucks, I hate thieves. My son has a Viper car alarm, if someone gets close enough to the car it goes off. It can be programmed to alarm and page the remote control in his pocket. It does work well. Anyone else know of products like this? It certainly would alarm if someone is loosening lug nuts.

Glad your ok. You may want to contact the mall and see if they have anything documented on the parking lot security camera.

get a car alarm with a pager. I do think you are pretty nuts leaving a turbo in a mall parking lot unattended. That mall is known to be one of the most theft targeted malls in this area. Invest in a daily driver if you dont have one already.
