cannon1000 is infamous around these parts
Your engine is running a bit hot isn't it?

Mine fluctuates between 180 and just over 180 (one needle width).

I had taken her for a very spirited drive in relatively warm weather, then she was sitting idle for a few minutes before I took the video.

Thanks, but I'm still not convinced. Like I said, my needle instantly jumped up to 4.5 bar at idle yesterday, then straight back down to 2. Something's wrong.

I believe 185 is what the thermostat is set at

Well, then change out the oil pressure sensor and see if that takes care of it. Obviously its an indicating problem as you wouldn't get an actual 4.5 bar spike at idle. Like I said, mine very occasionally will do the same thing but only at idle and its very momentary.
