Porsche OEM Carbon Fiber 996 GT2 Hood Grill

Does anyone have the Porsche OEM Carbon Fiber 996 GT2 Hood Grill?

http://www.vividracing.com/catalog/p...l-p-35390.html

I am interested, but the examples they have pictured look a little different than my stock hood grill (other than the carbon fiber finish, of course). There is a longitudinal center piece in one of the pictures.

If anyone has this accessory, please tell me how you like it.

I have one and it fits perfectly. It is truly a piece of art.

Could you possibly show a picture or two? What year is your GT2?

Any idea if this could be installed in a regular turbo bumper?

I think you would have to switch the whole bumper cover of the car to a GT2 nose piece. Some people do it. It is not cheap. I think that piece is around $1500 or more, unpainted.

It looks awesome. Great accent piece. Really looks killer with carbon mirrors and wing.

yeah, it bugs me too, but they say (vivid racing) it is factory Porsche. Not sure what to think. Is it the same for all years of the 996 GT2?

I believe so. This is Russell & Abby Cole's US Treasury seized 2005 GT2 (70miles) and it has no difference.

Not sure why the piece was made with that flat thing in the middle. I looked at MAcarbon and they don't make the piece that I know of. I would be making a phone call to them if I were ready to do this.
MACarbon New Projects
I would get a hold of Alex Ross at Sharkwerks or whoever is closest to you.
MACarbon Dealers/Installers

Not trying to stir the pot, and I also would love to see the pic of the installed grill.

I plan on calling first thing tomorrow. I hope I can get one without that center piece. I want it to look exactly like stock, just with the carbon fiber finish.

The pictured center vent is not for a GT2 bumper but rather a techart bumper. They are not interchangeable and is not a factory porsche part. How much is the OEM GT2 vent in CF? Another option could be us laying CF over an regular OEM grill for you

Assuming that the one Suncoast sells is OEM, I have seen prices from $713 all the way up to $1500.
