Yeah, I've seen some pieces of the Avon info previously

As you said, it's pretty damn complicated, and there are always variables which mess things up - hence my mentioning of run flats

IIRC, the Avon guys basically said wider tyres are almost always 'better' as it just gives you more stuff to work with
