Test drove 997 S today still like the tt better

I have never driven a GT3 so I really can't comment on the experience. But I do know that it doesn't have a lot of torque and you would have to be up in the RPM's to get the most out of it.
Being use to the tt which has 400 ft lb's of torque stock it would be hard for me to go to a high rpm car.
Just my personal preference but I would like to drive a GT3 sometime.

Well it only has 285 ft lb's of torque stock so compared to a stock tt which has 400 and my car which has close to 700 it isn't nearly enough for me.
Again just my humble opinion!

edit: That is a tongue and cheek comment for TT owners and no offense by this NA man was intended...I know the TT's torque blows the GT3's away...The GT3 has it's own unique advantages from a driver's "feel" perspective...the Lesser torque of the GT3 is not a show stopper for me, however...

The GT3 has a sharp narrow torque SPIKE of 285 ft lb at its peak 5000 rpm - the TT has constant 415 ft lb throughout its wide broad band from 2700-4500. Go to the porsche web site and look at the two charts (TT & GT3) - its almost a misrepresentation to say that the GT3 even has 285 lb ft of torque given that the spike is so narrow. Area under the torque curve is what matters, and I was surprised to see such a narrow spike.
Weight - let's say that the TT is 15% heavier than the GT3 (3450 vs 3000), then 1.15 x 285 = 327 ft lb corrected torque for TT's weight - GT3 has much less torque to weight than TT, then factor the above SPIKE issue - its mainly high rpm HP that's moving the GT3, and torque that's moving the TT.

your forgetting about the added 400lbs you need to overcome to get that pig off the line

In regards to the 8000k rev limiter and turbos there are a few ways of going about doing this just with not a porsche.
A good friend of mine (Supra Owner) is having his head built ($1500 job) while he is switching to an upgraded single turbo along with swapping out his stock ECU for an AEM ECU. This will allow up to hit 600+ HP on pump with an 8500 rev limiter.
Now talk about fun to drive!
I will be doing a similar conversion on mine in the coming months.
Just thought I'd share when comparing HiRev NA vs Turbo.
