Incoming GT2
SubscribeBeautiful car. What a great find. You got yourself a collectable.
Sunir - that is a gorgeous ride. Are you coming for the Philly cheesesteak run?
what a fantastic car, i'll be interested to see how you find it compared to the TT after a bit longer of ownership. are you driving it day to day or just for weekend/fun etc?
Geez, Sunir,, that Seal Grey is amazing. It makes the Polar Silver look blasé by comparison.
I think I will go cry in my room for while,,,
You know I am happy for ya, mate!!

You know I am happy for ya, mate!! Thanks for all the kind words everyone...I am looking forward to driving this car and really enjoying it, she still feels new and performs very well. The body colored wheels was an idea the prior owner and I had for the car and we chose to go with it - I'm glad as I think it came out perfect and still maintains originality in a fully numbers matching car. The RS gearbox and drivetrain is a factory option motorsport build, from Porsche, and is ussually reserved for their racing cars - I think it's a very unique factory upgrade on this GT2.

adam that cracked me up bro! You have a nicely moddded turbo for sure a looker...did you ever sell your JIC coilovers?Quote:
it is not a dog leg config, it's a 6 manual H - config. Double clutching is not required it has hardened steel synchros - crashbox with the usability of a factory box - it's louder and you can hear the gears whining it's not unbearable by any means it's actually just the right amount of noise, enough to let you know it's a beefy and unique high performance setup above and beyond what you would find on most street cars. Rev matching helps tremendously with this gearbox, moreso than any other car I've driven short of race cars on a proper race track, RPMs rise and fall very very quickly...with it downshifts become effortless and the car doesn't skip a beatOriginally Posted by arash
Does this have the dog gears, require double-clutching, etc?

the PCCB calipers I think are originally painted from the factory, I could be wrong on this though...the pic of the caliper on the front wheel you are seeing has a couple of rock knicks but the bottom there where it's discolored is actually dirt/grime that can be wiped away. Overall the brakes are in quite good shape, rotors only have 16K street miles on them, pads are brand new, and the calipers are fine with the exception of a few rock chips which is to be expected in a used car, so I'm not worried...fix that up later Originally Posted by hasauto

Sunir, congrats man... it sure is a looker! Can't wait to see it locally. Did you pick this one up from 'the doc' as well?
I guess you're not looking for the same parts as before, huh?
And what happened to your X50???

The X50 sold to a guy who was friends with the Doc originally, how ironic is that lol...he was looking for a GT3 or X50 turbo and was informaed about my car. I then turned around and got the GT2...2 cars from the same original owner, pretty cool story lol
Yeah I don't hink I need any parts for right now, maybe a set of DVs down the road...on my X50 I wanted to do GT2 clutch/slave conversion but don't need to now...I wanted a lowered sport suspension which was hassle free and handled well, GT2 has that alread...I wanted to get my calipers done in yellow but now that's done,,,also wanted GT2 aero bits but that's also done...and down the road was thinking about ditching the AWD and no longer have to do that either....in fact these are all some of the things that made the deal on the GT2 appealing.

I should be yup (depending on how I feel and if I go out the night before etc) ...but if I go I'll be taking the SL55 up...not only is it good for sunny top down days but also it's much better as a highway distance tourer especially in heavy traffic which we anticipate...Originally Posted by prodigymb

it's a pleasure vehicle for sure, plan to put 3 - 5K miles per year on it...I don't believe in letting cars sit and collect dust in the garage, they should be driven, impeccably maintained with steadfast record keeping, and enjoyed.Originally Posted by turbo_banker
