Incoming GT2

I just sold my X50 and picked up a nice clean very rare Euro Spec GT2, this is a 'ZZZ' car - VIN has been translated for US, kinda cool the interior instruments are in German and some English. Euro Spec varients have 3 'Z's in their VIN as part of the translated US code.

It's a 2002 Porsche GT2, Excellent Condition Interior and Exterior. 29,847 original miles, no accident. All service up to date.
  • Euro spec US compliant, Emission waiver in many states.
  • Have all EPA/DOT documents including lifetime emission waiver in VA. New windshield
  • New GT3 cup flywheel, clutch and pressure plate
  • Transmission w/ revised ratio (GT2 RS specs)
  • TPC Racing ECU Tune
  • New Michelin Pilot Sport Tires
  • TPC Racing Sway Bars
  • TPC modified exhaust system
  • TPC maintained
  • Intermediate shaft replaced at 22k miles with Porsche Motorsports
I don't know how many of these have been imported to the US, but I have been told that most GT2 cars sold here were US Spec with the exception of a few 'ZZZ' code cars (identifies Euro spec) which were bought over state side and still maintain certain exemptions and lifetime waivers.

The car is a unique example with low miles, seal gray and black interior with CF trim. The car feels fantastic, very raw and super visceral to the senses, it's much more aggressive than my X50, and is basicly a race car for the street. The big difference straight away is the whole transmission setup, having the motorsport parts and linkage is great - the gearbox itself, it's a special RSR box with straight cut gears, and revised ratios, it is cutom built and sourced just the same as the racing RS gearboxes - no play at all and coming from the X50 really showed me the night and day difference between the somewhat ambigious Turbo shifting and way the GT2's RS gearbox feel - the shifting is super precise, the clutch is very predictable, and the entire setup and tighter than a virgin on prom night lol

Other key points are the brakes, the carbon brakes are phenomal, really claw the car down. I was told that the Euro chassis were somewhat slightly stiffer and that there are some other bits on this car which are special in terms of Engine and drivetrain but I don't know that first hand, both the original owner and the shop told me of some unique componentry on the car which are desirable from a performance or durabilty standpoint.

Overall the car is an absolute blast to drive - My X50 was a fantastic car, this one has some advantages - the brakes, aero, unique gearbox/drivetrain are all very key upgrades in this GT2, and the 2wd means that I would have to worry about a conversion with the X50, or a GT2 clutch/slave conversion for that matter, plus there is the weight savings and the much lower build numbers making it more rare and increasing collectability down the road - these are all benefits.

I think ultimately in the end my deduction is that it feels much more raw and connected - power is not the real benefit with the GT2, it's everthing else around the engine that really come together and make the car more directly connected to the driver.

here are some pics:

Is this the car from Potamkin in Miami?
I saw a 2002 gray market car there last week so this must be it.
Check your front tires if this is it - they are from 2002...

This car was not from Potamkin, what is Potamkin? ...I actually bought this from a friend and fellow PCA instructor in Nothern Virginia... the car was never in Florida, was imported by Tischer in Maryland then titled in VA by my friend prior to it coming to me...
