Is this really a leaking radiator or ...

do I just have a leaky o-ring.

Here's a pic of the upper left portion of my passenger-side radiator:

I pulled the radiator off and here's a pic of where the upper hose enters the radiator (directly behind the picture above):

I'm having trouble embedding my pics ... see last two images in this album:

Album: https://picasaweb.google.com/twbarch...eat=directlink

The crud directly below the hose connection point makes me think that I just have a bad o-ring.

I'm thinking of just ordering o-rings (and getting the rad pressure tested while I wait) and then buttoning it all up. Am I nuts?

tonka - you think it is the radiator tank seal or the upper hose o-ring? I'm thinking it might be the upper hose o-ring based on where I see the crud.

They should be in the thread now, but I went ahead and added the album link back. Hopefully that will work.

Not sure if anyone cares, but I did an ad-hoc backyard pressure test:

from album:

It is definitely weeping out of the top of the radiator. Oh well, that's kind of what I figured. I'll order one on Monday.

You need more psi and use hot water, running water temp is 99c. I had my old ones test by a radiator re builder and he said they were good, he was wrong.

from the looks of the pictures I would replace the radiator.

If you could find a radiator shop they will pressure test it under water..for you.

I replaced the radiator. The job was pretty easy - including the bleed process with the Uview Airlift tool. So far, so good.
