I've tuned my car in the rain before. The only thing you can't do is street drive it. The only other issues would be for some odd reason the dyno is located outside.

Other than that how does rain effect dynoing? Not going to make them max HPz?! Trust me i Know a bit more about dynos than you probably do.

Well, if your turbos are made of sugar the higher humidity might make them melt. Duh.

Only what I read from John posts, he is from the motorcycle world and humidity is a big game changer with small motors. Even worse two stroke motors! Any Who lets see this end amicable.

Hi,...Maybe you do in your area And Maybe I know more in my area...There are limts in efficiency that changes with weather that sensors can not fully compensate due to their effect range/limits.....Basic 101......But I do not know everything,,if you do great.....Have a good day......

Do some research on SAE, STD, DIN, etc.. correction factors... We have just as much humidity as you do (100% and 90* some days) and it's never effected me one bit when dynoing my car. Remember I'm in in southeast Houston so I'm close to the water Gulf of Mexico.

The dyno is a tuning tool. HP doesn't always mean anything whether it be high or low. Run a number with it once the car is tuned and compare to other cars.

These are not 2 stroke motors or 100ci motors. The car will breath unless you are putting cloths over the intake pipes or something. It's a turbo... And if have something over the intake pipes, good chance the turbo will suck that in as well.

John, in all seriousness, you aren't helping your case here. Did the shop say bring the car in and we'll tune it for you. Or did they mention a specific day and that's when you went. Car shops will give open ended invitations all the time, but that doesn't mean when you walk in the door everyone throws down their tools and starts working on your car.

Plus when dealing with tuners you should ALWAYS get a start and ETA, or at least verify that everything will be done the same day if that's what you are expecting. That's modding 101.

You kindly left out the part where you cancelled because you didn't want your car dyno'd in the rain. When blasting someone on the internet, that would be useful information. That was YOU cancelling an appointment and thereby costing yourself money.

And getting a tune back after you've had it for years is ridiculous.

I am glad that Tony has had a chance to have his say....I think most of you have grasped what the problem is here and it is too bad John did not honor my request to settle this off of the board..besides that there are no classifieds in open forums and if that isn't enough you can't sell what you don't own....

added note...this matter was easily resolved and was just a misunderstanding....see this thread
