HEY Guys,,After the dust settled,,I decided to take this EPL tune out and go with a Protomotive tune...So,I am in the process of asking Tony if he is going to give me back my stock flash and hold the one that I bought from him,,like most tuners do when they change companies....If so,it will be for sale or credit,,,which ever Tony would like to do.....I will let you know.........

that usually never happens.. the tune stays with the car.... not with the client...
I do not think you have any grounds to go on... its not like you rented the tune until you decided to move on.. I do not think that is fair to the tuner...
just so you know I went thru 3 paid tuners and none returned or credited me... not did I even ask...

HI Mark,,,Thanks for you info but,,,GIAC did it when I went to this EPL tune.Also,PowerChip did it when I went to Revo on my 2002 C2....

 

It is a shame that it is at this point on a open forum. Your last thread was locked on this subject yesterday until Tony replies. It is at least 24 hours ago now with no response? You would push his product anytime you could, with confidence. I don't think you will get any where with recovering any funds. Besides the way you are going you will be at standalone levels shortly!

I had Giac. Giac stays with car. They credit only if u upgrade. And rightly so.
I do no know of any reputable tuner that will refund your money or pu ur tune on another clients car after 2 years of use. I know we do not and nor does protomotive. If your unhappy move on. But I do know epl does a good job. Also. U could have logged the ar on the street. Send It to epl. Hav them dp a few adjustments then dyno it. Why Disnt u go to AMS locally. They have a dyno and they are epl dealers. I know epl will not send tunes to shops that are not authorized dealers. I can understand why.
I worked on a clients car he had epl tune. Scheduled dyno session with AMS and tuned it. Done deal. Local no drama.

hey john protomotive has great service i bought my tune a year and half ago at that time bought the injectors but didnt install them and just did the 5bar and todd did the tune. just got around to installing them cuase i need to do a clutch. i ask todd many questions and he anwsered every question in a timely manner. also sent me the new tune for injectors. i think there service is first class.

 

Wait, you have had this tune for two years? Good luck with that. I like this rent-a-tune idea though. How about it Markski?

I think you and EPL should come to a final conclusion, and then air out the details here. I'm sure that there is another side to this story as what I've seen in this, and the locked, post seem very unlike the average customer experience with EPL. I hope everything works out, regardless of where you wind up. I am a happy customer.

 

i think trying to get money back for a tune after such a long period of time is completely unreasonable and unrealistic and i doubt that EPL or any other tuner would do this.

 

I don't think he has had the car for 2 years... Maybe a year and then started modding if I recall correctly...

HI,Lets get this straight,,,,Kelly Moss is one of your shops??Right...Why would Kelly Moss,twice, tell me to come 160 miles to watch my car get tuned by you if there was No appointment??Do you think they want my car there wasting time and room strapped to there dyno for all that time if you did not have a date with them??Didnt you tell me to get the pump on and you would dyno it as soon as that job was done??I believe I have that e-mail... When you were on the Dyno with my car on that Thursday and then you shut down and left us in the cold,,,,that was not a tuning session now??,,as your e=-mail said yesterday in your defense??....
