Since you are talking about the prices, how much did you pay for yours and also how many owners/options/mods and any service history ?
Don't forget to ad the trasportation to the price of your car. One might pay $55,000 for a car and then another $1500 for the transport so the total cost be $56,500 and not 55...you know what i mean.

Well i have been following 996TT prices for a while and i can't seem to find a one owner '02+ X50 with 15,000 miles or less for under $57,000 .. I am also looking for suspension/wheels and the exhaust,so i have no idea where people are purchasing theirs for mid 40's ?

I don't think anyone is finding the car you are looking for in the mid 40's. Mid 40's cars typically have more than 40K miles and/or a story.

$50,000 + $4000(PCCB) + $7000(evoms) +$500(B&B) that comes to $62,000.
4 years later not sure if people would like to buy a modded car.I know I won't. Still I would say low 40's.
I tend to agree. If I used this method to price this car, taking 55K base price plus 50% price of these: the evoms kit 20K, the PCCBs are 8K, the PSS10s are 2.5K, and exhaust about 4K(not including labor). This would bring the car to a price of well over 70K. These mods have under 5K miles which is the mileage on the car. Since these top of the line technology mods are highly desireable by enthusiasts, why would some say that these be discounted more than 50%? These A28 turbos make a stock car into an absolute monster even with a conservative tune. I drove both and there is no comparison of stock vs. modded A28 car with endless power available.

No one has mentioned that if someone really wanted to reproduce this vehicle, it would cost about 95K.

I would jump through the ceiling and do three back flips if I could get someone to pay a 50% premium on mods. For the most part its about 10%, maybe 20%. At the end of the day however, a car is always going to be worth what someone will be willing to pay for it. If someone comes along who does the math and it makes sense to them to write a check for 50% of the mods in addition to the cost of the car, then that's what the car is worth. I'm just speaking from experience of buying and selling many modded cars in the past.....

Mods don't help or hurt the value much but help the new buyer with less headaches in gett the parts and installs. Mine is still for sale but it not like I am activly trying to move it.

Talking 2001 Turbo just sold for $60k

$60k just bought a 2001 996tt with Alpha GT28's. Chassis has 35k, X50 motor has 4k... No PCCB's, full carbon interior options, big stereo. car essentially immaculate, perfect tune, about 700hp...

There were several offers on the table right near $60k. Los Angeles is somewhat of an anomaly as there is a lot of income here, but also lots of inventory. I'd say it's easy to overmod or over-option a Turby making it cheezy.

I don't see you losing more than $10-15k in four years. The fact remains that Porsche released the GT2RS with the 996 based, non direct-injection 3.6L. NOT the 3.8L in the 997tt. That pretty much says it all... The simple fact that 996's are out of production should dictate the 996tt price now is just about as low as it will ever be.

Just buy the damn car. You'll love it so much, you won't care!!!

Wow, that is an interesting data point. An '01 with a new, non-original motor and significant mods selling for $60k. Maybe the buyer overpaid somewhat, but sometimes you find that car which is modded exactly like how you want, and it makes sense to buy it already finished.

Agree wholeheartedly with the bolded area above.

Quick, I know what you mean and it all adds up. I had to spend some extra coin on the pm work, shipping, new Porsche floor mats, a spare key cut by the dealer and etc. Keep us updated with your search and post pics once you find one.
