Castrol 5W-50

Anyone try the new Castrol 5w-50? I just picked up 10 quarts and two filters at Oreilly auto for $60. It's not on the Porsche approved list, but it has more zinc additives than regular Castrol oil. Below is information from online literature.

8. What is happening to Castrol SYNTEC 20W-50?
Castrol SYNTEC 20W-50 classic car formulation is being replaced by Castrol
with SYNTEC Power Technology 5W-50 viscosity grade. The 5W-50 grade
will also be specially formulated for classic car use and will adopt the 20W-50
claims – designed for use in classic cars. The 5W-50 formulation will contain
more zinc additives than the 20W-50 and will also enhance start up ability in
cold temperatures as well as enable better fuel economy*

I'd like to see the zinc and phosphorous levels (ppm)...

Just a FYI- Castrol Syntec 5w40 did not hold up well in my GTI. Oil smelled burned after 2,500 miles...

I have a track day at Laguna Monday, so It won't stay in to long before I change it again. When I bought the car in January, the dealer changed the oil, so it most likely has M1 0W-40. I think the 0W-40 is to thin for the track, so I'll try the Castrol. I'll probably have a sample tested to see how it held up to the track.

I live in warmer climates and have been running "old" Castrol 5-50w full synthetic since i bought the car. (I'm had many old air cooled split case motors were we ran Castrol 20-50w before synthetic was invented and let the car warm up a bit before driving it.) I change every 3K miles and usually add one quart at most between changes.
