cool carbon brake pads, anyone using them?

cool carbon brake pads, anyone using them?

any feedback would be appreciated i am about to switch to them front and rear. would love to hear some pros and cons. thanks in advance.

far superior bite than oem. i would recommend that you buy them for both front and rear as the bias is quite bad if you try oem in the rear.

they do not squeek and have slots for sensors!

at the track they hold up quite well but have a slight tendancy to overheat if pushed to the limits! i.e not me driving but my track rat friend behind the wheel.

i think they are the best street pad out there for the money! at the track some pfc's will supersede them!

As an FYI you really have to be driving the car TO THE LIMITS for them to overheat dont be scared by my statement.

haha - yes my rotors were a little blue.. but there holding up fine!

Just make sure to break them in correctly and prep your rotors if possible. I fried CC pads and OEM rotors this way.

Back on new OEM rotors and CC all around. Great pads!

There aren't many 'street' pads suited to hard track use, I've given up on trying to find a dual purpose setup and just swap out for track days. Then you don't have to compromise on either.

I'm running Pagid yellow front and OEM rear. I have no complain on this setup; little noise but not enough to bought me.

they are great for the street.

However - as others have mentioned, if you track, you'll run through them, quickly.

I put a new set on for willow big and was getting the brake pad sensor light AND brake fluid warning after ONE lap! - However, everything felt fine so I was able to get 14 more lasp on that session...came in with the brake sens and the brake light illuminated.

Once things cooled down the warnings went away (btw did not boil the fluid - i checked).

Pads still have 30% on them after another month of street driving.

I'm going pagid next - you get what you pay for....

That is what happens when you are going 140MPH+ and braking down to 75-80MPH with a car and driver at 3700 lbs+

Go with the Yellow in front and Black for the rear.

I've heard many opinions about breaking in new pads.

Thats good info, but it still says "theory" at the top of the page.

If bedding in is so important, why is it that they never advise on this when you buy a new hi performance car, or when you get your pads changes at the local pad shop?

What happens if you don't do any of the bedding in stuff and just drive off and use the car as you normally would?

Not much of a problem for street pads but track pads need to get some transfer residue on the rotors to be fully effective.
