K16 Hybrid or K24?
I wasn't directing that at you, Markski. I was directing that towards all the people that go straight for the biggest snail you can find without readin the OPs post. It is very easy to get carried away when you are trying to keep the mods fairly conservative and go big.
I agree...

Ok, My 2 cents...after 1.5 yrs of research, here and elsewhere...I went with K16 billets and injectors and EPL custom dyno tune...yes needed new clutch too. Spoke with many tuners and you can't go wrong with EPL or Markski at 991 tuning, they know it all and more. My #'s on pump gas...492 AWHP, 570AWTQ....100oct.- 528hp/612ft.lbs. The train starts rolling at 3100prm, curves mirror stock, If the turbos are spinning at all, (0.1bar), there is NO Lag. I can't imagine having more power than I do. The car is sick, and I have a 500hp S4 track car, 1000cc sport bike, M5, Vmax....so I am used to fast. Couldn't be happier, wouldn't change a thing...but I have only had this power for 3 months so talk to me in the fall and I'll probably want more...but don't need it.

I think reading the OP's thread, he wants some reasonable power upgrade but nothing too major. So he could get a decent exhaust with 200 or 100 cell cats and a decent tune, DV,s and air filter. Should see another 80-100 bhp and possibly over 100 ft lbs torque running 0.9 bar. Wont do his clutch in and requires little supporting mods.
If he decides to want even more ( 80 to 100 extra horses will make a huge difference) power he has already invested in some of the required mods he will need to do.

Can I ask "why?" on the 5 bar? I think this is less accurate and more prone to variation that can cause lean conditions than installing larger injectors.
Is there a large cost difference? I'd rather spend a little more and have a more reliable solution than save a few hundred dollars and lose a head.
Not trying to argue a point one way or another, just looking for opinions.

5 bar FPR puts more stress on your fuel pump and can lead to early failure. I would do injectors for k-16 billets or 16gs personally, but then you will not be meeting the OP's goal.
would love to hear the best set up for street use for a tiptronic 996tt..trying to make final choice of set up and who to use as a tuner... suggestions please.. I want to do this only once..
Depends on your temps. Log it then you know.
