Do not wash !
Do not wash !
I am looking for a pic/graphic that i once remember seeing. It said something along the lines of "Do not wash ! please !" and was to be used as a reminder display when the car was going in for service.
Anyone remember who or where that graphic was from?
thanks
Pete

I'd think most porsche dealers would do soft water washing!

I just make sure to see the service writer put it on the ticket DO NOT WASH. Idiots. They washed my GTS that was Marine Blue once. More swirls then my kids Ice cream I swear.
I still have you all beat, the dealer dropped a wrench on my car. Nice eh?

i'm the same way, but after many a try I finally found a wax I semi like on my ****ty acura black paint. Zaino of course. It still isn't stellar but it helped w/ the swirls a little bit. Of course I put on nearly 20 coats though
Picture this:
They dip a SPONGE in a bucket of sudsy water, made up of dawn dish washing liquid, and start on the rocker panels in circular motions. Without re-dipping the sponge, they continue up the door, over the fenders and onto the hood. Time to re-dip. The sponge then hits the hood and in very firm circular motions grinds the rocker panel residue into the paint like a sanding wheel.
After all of this is done and the soap has had a chance to dry on the paint in the bright, hot sun, the car is hosed down and then dryed with polyester threaded towels just to insure every part of the paint gets its share of swirls. Oh yeah, and i forgot, as the guy is drying the roof, his big *** metal belt buckle scrapes against the door paint.
Car is ready sir....

Ahhh.... Washing a nice car. I love it.
Do any of you use Zaino? I use that polish on my AMG (which is several years old) about 3x/year. Makes it better than the day she left the dealer. It turns the finish into GLASS.... So smooth, and it eradicates any swirls. Best polish/wax ever...
P.S: KPV - Your image sent shivers down my spine. Thanks!
