cjaz is infamous around these parts
just noticed another thread on this conversion. I have all the part numbers from another thread, but need to source the gt2 mod bracket. Is this an aftermarket part? I see that one of the members here sells it, is he the only source for this part? I pm'd him this morning about buying one, just waiting on his reply.

thanks

chris

Verdict is in...

I LOVE it. I picked it up, drove it around and said to the mechanic, "Why the eff did they design it with the accumulator in the first place." It doesn't even feel that stiff. It's less stiff than my old 996 NA which (now that i'm thinking about it) must have had an upgraded pressure plate. My mechanic agreed, "I don't know who the f*** decided that was a good idea."

Funny enough, another indy in my area said that he's been down that road before, and he didn't recommend it. I'm wondering if he just wasn't equal to the job. He said he'd had complaints before and wouldn't warranty the upgrade. But to me, this is how the clutch pedal SHOULD feel. It could even be a bit stiffer and it would be fine. I'm sure it will be when I upgrade the pressure plate when i redo my clutch (so i can upgrade my turbos). I'm totally glad I did this mod and it was totally worthwhile.

Hope this helps.

PS. incidentally, the same indy said that installing the x73 suspension kit would require a corner balance. I'm pretty sure that you can't corner balance the x73 as it's not adjustable...
