Need some sort of bra...

for the car of course! Want something that covers front part of quarter panels near the headlights as I get rock chips there as well.

Was about to by the speed lingerie one until I saw it did not cover this area AND the Price - WOW!

I believe the porsche one has the coverage I need but am weary about the porsche bra doing it's own damage to my paint on road trips...

Any suggestions???

Guess I forgot to mention that I would want something that is removable, i.e. I would only use it on road trips or when long highway driving was called upon....

just get the clear bra and leave it on all the time. it's not easily visible from more than 3 feet away.

what would drive you more crazy, stone chips or the lines? regular bras are a pain in the ***. they usually don't look good and they can damage the paint underneath if dirt gets trapped in between the paint and the bra. not to mention they're usually kind of difficult to get on and off. sounds like you need to find a good paint guy you can use every couple years or so

It's either clear bra or no bra. Speed lingerie is absolutely horrendous. 3M is a solid product.

I have the 3M clear coat on my Atlas Grey cab and it is very difficult to see the lines. Tracking for the first time next month, so I am looking forward to not having to put up with chips.

Cool

Why would Porsche 'make' a crappy bra?
I trusted the Marque and have not been dissapointed.

3 minutes to put on. 1 to take off.
Full coverage.
Will not damage paint.
Reasonable price.
Padded.

3M clear bra (make sure you get it installed by someone who knows what they are doing)

or speed lingerie if you just want something for road trips etc. That's what we have for our vette, but it only goes on when we drive long distances.

Lizard......are most of your chips happening on the bumper (below headlamps) or are you needing protection on the hood and over top of lights?
If you can get away with just the lower panals, lines will not be as noticable. Black cars are a 'challenge' ....... chips are terrible, and w/clear bra the film edges collect wax, are more visable that light cars.
Paint the bumper every 2 yrs is another option......less than cost of Speed Lingerie .

For me.......I put Speed L on for long trips.......daily protect is the clear bra.

BTW........there are a boat load of clear bra suppliers.....many with slightly different patterns for their product (which you can check on-line). People that use the 8mil 3M Scotchcal are Ultrashield, Invinca-shield, Stongard, Xpel..........also, in the last yr there have been several companies pop up that use the 8mil Llumar material. They claim it is tougher, and also claim it has a smoother finish than 3M (and a version of Llumar is the primary base material also used for interior window tint).

Good luck to ya.
