Might be biased but it seems like STi owners are relatively nice about waving back too.

Porsche GT2 and 3 owners usually wave to each other. If I am stopped, they will generally even stop and chat for a bit. It's a small group of us, and we are all enthusiasts. Turbo guys are about 50/50.

Not just STis, all subarus with hood scoops. It kind of draws your attention when you're driving. Except that by the end of 2003, WRXs were too mainstream, so now people have them because it's cool, with no idea of history or ability. That's why I'm a fan of the pre-2002 RSs.Originally posted by bottomline

Probably because a fair amount of car owners in general are not enthusiasts - it's just a car to them. Boxsters are a little less exclusive than other P-car models, so there is probably a higher percentage of non-enthusiasts driving them than other models.
Scooby drivers are the best, they even wave at EVO owners.
i just get confused. Are they waving at me, or someone behind me? maybe someone, next to me? Or do I know them, Do they know me? the waving stuff is just too confusing. To me anyway.
Just smile and wave back, and when they look perplexed, blow them a kiss, lick your teeth and drive off. That always gets the best reactions.
A boxter driver once waved but I didn't see it. By the time I was prompted by my passenger, it was too late. He had a surprised look. In CA, Boxter and even 911 are all over. If I had to wave everytime I see a p car, I would have to get a third arm.

There just seem to be so many WRXs and more a thing of utility and less of an exclusive item that makes the WRX drivers a little less enthusiatic. After reading 6speed so much and concentrating only on work I have come not to care so much about STIs and more about..Originally posted by Gramicci101
