700+HP - Front Driveshaft - yes or no?

I'm trying to decide if I should hook up my front driveshaft back up as I took it out originally for the TXMile. I'd really like to hook up better when stomping it in 2nd and 3rd, but curious to know if there are any drawbacks other than what I would think would be a slilght power loss.

Anyone have any experience with how much top end MPH I would lose or if there would be any additional strain on the tranny with AWD versus RWD or even if there would be less strain on my rear halfshafts?

Let me know what you think!!
