Two questions.
  1. The thrust washers they speak of as the first issue I assume are the ones with the bumps. Do the bumps crush under load indicating where the stress is?
  2. I am trying to see the lateral movement of the springs when the strut assembly is rotated. Is it the bottom-most coil of the main spring moving away from the camera?

Alternative to my last post. I think issue number 1 is that the springs would want to torque about the axis of the strut and then all of a sudden release once the friction is overcome. The thrust washers would then supply additional friction restraint to prevent the release? Comments guys.

Ken...

Are your PSS-9's making that sort of noise right now? I have the RUF PSS-9 kit and I don't hear anything like that..

I have this issue now. I asked people on this board a couple of days ago and no one had seen this.

The installer had seen this on one other car and he said that it could be taken care of easily.
