Are there many non-posting modders out there?

I got to thinking and wondered if the members of this forum, as well as the few others that exist, represent the top 10% of 996 Turbo modders in the country. I always exercise due diligence with purchases and purchasing decisions so I have to assume that others do the same. As part of that, I seek knowledge on the internet to help me make educated decisions. Assuming others do the same, I would tend to think that these people eventually stumble upon this website, Rennlist and others that pertain to the 996 Turbo. That said, I wonder for all of us modders that are located here, how many are out there that do not have any knowledge of the websites. Are there 996 Turbo owners out there that are doing GIAC Stage 1, 2, 3, 4, 4GT and 5 upgrades, Upsolute and other power upgrades and TechArt bodykits that do not post here. One would tend to think if it is a passion, they would scour the internet for data to feed their passion.
So the question is, how many silent modders are out there that are naive to the web forums? Are we collectively the crem-de-la-crem?
Any thoughts??

Ken, they are out there especially in Florida and California. Champion sells rims, exhaust and Gt2 body kit on 2 out of 4 Turbos they deliver. When I was at By design in Beverly Hills they had about 10 turbos there. None of them were people from the board. With all the money in this country there is numerous people who just let the dealer go wild without asking price or researching.

Duane is right, a lot of people just mod because they have the money, not because they have the passion, unlike you and me (my car is going to remain relatively stock, unless i am convinced otherwise ). When i went to get my laser jammer and radar detector installed, i saw this '04 GT2 with 700 hp on it (thats waht the guy said), and the owner almost never drives it, he did not even drive it to the mod place, he had his driver drive it. I could not believe it, also, the car is only used for track racing, but on the other hand, id love to be that guys driver. If you want to see pics of the car, go to http://autosoundltd.com/showroom/

We should all have little preprinted notes in our cars to be left on other 996TT's, GT2/3s we see in parking lots. Once they get hooked here they won't ever escape. Muhahaha. I'll wait until I actually have one myself before going that far though.

I see more turbos down here, with springs and champion (speedline) wheels, then I do stock...
Champion slaps those wheels on MANY of their cars...
Braman also throws on Techart's on some new TT's....
They just do it cause it looks good, not true enthusiasts IMO (as said above)
Regards,
Evan
