Low battery during rain

Does anyone else get low battery during rain? I don't often have the TT out in the rain, but this week it was sitting in a heavy rain storm when I started it up to leave work. I immediately noticed a lack of power steering followed by a low battery / alternator warning light on the dash. I turned off the A/C and headlights to reduce load and everything returned to normal pretty quickly. I feel like I had a similar situation on one other occasion after washing the car. Has anyone else experienced it?

Sounds like the belt slipping if you had low power steering and alternator issue.

I have the exact same issue. A couple blips of the throttle and its gone. I dont know if its necessarily a problem, I think rain just soaks the belt and after a couple of revolutions its dry. My belts look fine, no cracks or dry rotting.

I replaced my belt a few months ago (preventative while I had things apart for GT2 slave mod). I also replaced alternator regulator when that failed several months back. I'm always amazed at how clean the engine bay in this car stays, so I assumed the water channeling back there was pretty good.

Thanks for the inputs.
