Fastest was a 1:50 lap time and I was making some major mistakes, hope to be in the 45's soon Need to fix my early turn in and underestimating the porsche brakes haha.

Doesn't look like your turn in is all that bad to me. Early turn-in is fast anyways. You did miss some apexes there towards the end though that cost you some speed and throttle input. Looks like you have the line down, but it's not quite second nature yet so it changes slightly from lap to lap, get a line you are comfortable with and can replicate lap after lap after lap, then you can work on pushing harder.

IMO.

I was thinking same as watching, I thought turn in overall was dead on. Do you run with PSM on or off? Looked like lots of fun, cant wait for my fall line up of events Oct,Nov,Dec with one weekend DE each month.

Thank you, and yes I see you caught me missing some apexes cause I was going in too hot for them But it's my 2nd track event EVER, let alone in a 911 so I'm happy with my learning process so far. I tend to drive by the seat of my pants so once I drive the car for a while, I'm sure I'll get the hang of it. Appreciate the feedback

Thank you. I ran with PSM on but rarely did it intervene. Road racing is all about smoothness so PSM on won't affect your performance. Plus I am a newbie so I don't want to deal with a smashed up pcar and insurance

Thank you. I know I need to push it a bit more, it was more of a day of testing out the limits of grip than testing out how fast I could go. I am still learning the car, slow and steady

Thanks for posting. Don't worry about times - they'll come.

I agree with heavychevy - your turn-ins were ok. I think that you can find 1-2 seconds between turns 1 and 3. If you carry more speed into 1, you'll track all the way out to the exit curbing. You'll miss the first apex curb at 2, but the TT has so much power you want to do that anyway, straighten out early, catch the second apex and make the straight down to 3 longer. You can use the favorable camber at the entry to 2 to get the car rotated.

Come down to Putnam Park at the end of October. Always nice to have another twin turbo out there.

Thanks for the tips mate! I will be sure to try that out next time I'm there. I will try to come down one of these days to Putnam, but it's 6.5 hours from me ;(

I am getting a group of local guys (vette, 135i, sti, evo) to go down to VIR next year, will keep you updated if you are interested. Plan is to drive down through the tail of the dragon and spend the weekend in one of the hotels overlooking the track and basically have a blast. Would be fun to have a fellow experience TT on board to teach me some basics let me know.

Well I must say, that's very good for second time ever. More seat time and good instruction will go a long way.

Putnam Park is a nice track, a lot like Gingerman in length, speed, layout. I go there a lot because it's less than an hour from my house. To be honest, I'd have to say it isn't really worth a 6+ hour drive. Not sure where you are located, but maybe Road America or Mid-Ohio would be in the same driving range, and both are more interesting.

VIR is a long way, but keep me posted. Not sure how much fun the tail of the dragon would be with a car on a trailer. Maybe I'd have to unload, drive it one way, then back to the trailer.

I agree with HeavyChevy. Good for your second time out. You've got a good idea on the line, just need small adjustments. I'm sure that at some point we will run into each other. I tend to go to Gingerman and Grattan. In terms of your car, is it stock? What tires are you using?
