interested in just the car

looks like a stock 996 manual is 3495, but i think the 2001 is a bit lighter.

When I had my car corner balanced, she weighed 383x with very similar setup as today. The extra weight for the top (motor and stuff) + safety equipment do add up.

do you have any weight savings? you must have exhaust at least.

what about rear seats? battery? RWD? seats?

BTW...i converted my tiptronic to and I am very happy.

I do not have weight saving except for the exhaust. I had the same exhaust as today when I had it done.

Did you mean you converted to RWD?

ok...now i need to find the weight of a 996 manual convertible, subtract it from your weight to get the tiptronic weight, and then add it to 3495 to get a 996 tiptronic (coupe) weight

MY996TT tiptronic convertible - 3,830 + ~20lbs to put it to OEM exhaust
OEM 996 manual convertible - 3,652

additional weight of tiptronic is 198 pounds...sounds about right.

Stock tiptronic 996 should weigh 3,495 + 198 pounds so 3,693lbs

lol no...just trying to find the weight of a 996 turbo coupe...it doesn't seem to be posted anywhere including our precious weight loss thread.

I live in Houston...convertibles only work for about a 1/3 of the year at best.

You should lose some weight!

I took out my tools, spare, rear seats, lighter battery, rear wiper, RWD conversion, working on getting some seats

I deleted my post because my head wasn't thinking straight. Your question was Tip and somehow... I was thinking Cab.

If anything should lose weight, it would be myself instead of my car. I weigh 200.
