Mark, what rims are you going to paint? Techart Formulas and the BBS/Cargraphic/Gemballa racing rims always look fantastic in black. There has been a few of the GT3RS pics floating around that match the paint scheme which look ok.

Black is always sweet....

A glossy black would look great on your black car.

if they're for the track, you're probably better off with just a flat black, esp if you wind up needing to touch them up (which you most likely will) it'll be quick, painless, and less expensive. You're only beating on them anyway...

you could always go inbetween... semi-gloss

would'nt it be better to have the wheels powdercoated and clear coated rather than painted????

Just curious....

If they are multi piece wheel's, I would only coat the spoke part's and leave the lips "el natural". It all depends on the type of wheel and your personal prefs...

I have had bad experiences painting wheels in the past. The main problem being that they chip. When I got the TT, I decided to powdercoat them and I could not be happier. Even after nearly 30K miles, there is not a single chip on the wheels.

I used http://www.customwheelsdirect.com and would recommend them highly. I sent them a take-off set that I purchased with the tires still mounted. They dismounted, powdercoated, and remounted the tires. The wheels did not have a _single_ scratch on them when I got them back. Their prices are reasonable as well (~$100/wheel).
